A little room to record.

Recordings are held in memory. These guardrails stop a session before it grows too large.

Limits are checked as encoded chunks arrive and may be exceeded by the final chunk. Final file assembly also uses memory. Settings are locked during recording. Background tabs may be throttled.

A BETTER TAKE

Give your ideas the floor.

Open the presentation first, silence notifications, and choose its window. For the best result, keep ScreenTake visible where possible and verify playback before sharing.

Check what is actually included

The preflight reports the tracks your browser supplies. Camera and microphone are optional and requested separately. A request for shared audio does not guarantee it is available. If the audio summary says no audio, the exported recording will be silent.

Review before you share

Record a short sample and play it back. The browser chooses a supported recording format; ScreenTake downloads its actual container instead of changing an extension. Source-sized output is capped at 2560 × 1440. Recording limits are memory guardrails, and browser background throttling can affect frame delivery.

Your recording is local

ScreenTake does not upload your screen, camera, or microphone. The completed clip remains in this tab’s memory until you clear it or leave. Download it to keep it. There is no cloud copy or public sharing link.
